Diablo 3 Officially Announced

Yes. Remember that game we used to play in High School? The one with the angel with toilet paper wings? ( But really... ._. I had this crush on Tyrael and kept on trying to get him to talk all the time even if I didn't have to)

http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/53365

OMG... I thought they ended with Diablo 2. Apparently not, wah and people say it's going to be really good too. @_@ Mou... I wonder if I should still play WoW then... since there's not release date yet I can still play until it comes out...

OMG... he's so hot... and he's being voiced by Kevin Conroy (YUS!!)... *giggle giggle giggle giggle*

Apparently the Batman: Gotham Knight (The DVD Animation/Anime type) is going to come out sooner than the Dark Knight movie. The DVD's going to come out July 8 whilst the Movie's showing on July 18. (ThankyouomgIcanfinallygetmyBatmanfixyayyayyayyay!!) But then is it just going to be released in the US only or can I actually but an ORIGINAL copy from all the way here? *crosses fingers * Please, I would really like to buy an original copy of this please oh DVD Gods...

...And I STILL think Batman can totally beat Ironman, hands down.

In anycase~ 22 more days to Gotham Knight~ and 32 days to Dark Knight XD yay~

I saw this while going through my usual rounds in the net. It's just amusing that's all.

"Following the announcement of the new Flying-HK-style "Reaper" death machines for the British forces (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2007/05/10/the_flying_hk_are_coming_aiee/), the prophetic nature of the Terminator movies has been further confirmed.

Not only will the UK MoD deploy airborne cyber-gunships remarkably similar to those in the films, the flying robot assassins will be controlled by an IT project named "Skynet"."

I suppose we better stock up on ammo in our underground bunkers just incase Terminator Armageddon comes up or something. XD

Blog EntryRobots and Exoskeletons!Jun 3, '08 3:42 PM
for everyone
I've now gone through my fanfic stage... I think and I'm currently surfing the net for interesting news articles and what not. Since these articles are from the internet I'm not sure of how true these are but I really wish they ARE real because I'd want to get my hands on them too XD.

Following up on my Ironman high (Batman is still cooler than Ironman >_> ) I started looking for articles about it and came up with:

Photobucket

Robot Exoskeletons... oh and that Mecha looking thing from Mech Warrior and Robotcop's enemy XD Yes I know. I keep on stumbling over really weird sites but it's how one learns new things I suppose.

First one, I have to say it really looks like a robot from TV. It's like a prototype for a Mecha. It reminds me of that robot thingy from Robocop, those white things from Star Wars (they were in the part where they were attack the rebel in this snow covered place...) and yes that Mecha from Mech Warrior like so:

Photobucket

The site is here: http://66.196.80.202/babelfish/translate_url_content?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.sakakibara-kikai.co.jp%2Fproducts%2Fother%2FLW.htm&lp=ja_en&fr=avbbf-us&.intl=us

Second one is an exoskeleton that sort of enhances your strength sort of like the first robot built by Tony Stark in Ironman the movie except that it doesn't fly and it doesn't have a flame thrower.

Photobucket

This one comes from a news paper article so I suppose it's true...
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/main.jhtml?view=DETAILS&grid=&xml=/earth/2008/04/25/sciiron125.xml

Next up is something that's supposed to help the US military carry more load.

Photobucket

Article over yonder:
http://machinedesign.com/ContentItem/59305/Givingsoldiersahightechlegup.aspx

Last but not the least, this one they're actually selling it already.

Photobucket

Article over here~
http://www.newscientist.com/blog/technology/2008/05/exoskeletons-for-sale-finally.html

Oh and there's apparently an article that's about exoskeletons XD
http://www.environmentalgraffiti.com/sciencetech/5-bionic-exoskeleton-suits-of-the-future/1137
Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

For the record I'm not a Mecha fan anime/tv show-wise (only anime that I like that has robots in it is Gurenn Laggan), but I really do love new technology in real life. XD I'd want my own in the future.

Blog EntryHell Explained by a Chem StudentMay 21, '08 11:19 AM
for everyone
I got this off the Phantasma Forums and I just had to post it here.

Bonus Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)?
Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle’s Law (gas cools when it expands and heats when it is compressed) or some via rant. One student, however, wrote the following:

"First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which they are leaving. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving."

"As for how many souls are entering Hell, let’s look at the different religions that exist in the world today. Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there is more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially."

"Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle’s Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added. This gives two possibilities:
1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose.
2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over."

"So which is it? If we accept the postulate given to me by Teresa during my Freshman year that, ‘It will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you,’ and take into account the fact that I slept with her last night, then number two must be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and has already frozen over."

"The corollary of this theory is that since Hell has frozen over, it follows that it is not accepting any more souls and is therefore, extinct...leaving only Heaven, thereby proving the existence of a divine being which explains why, last night, Teresa kept shouting ‘Oh my God.’"

THIS STUDENT RECEIVED AN A+.

Blog EntryLEAF is looking for a Vocalist ***VOX WANTED***Apr 30, '08 7:02 PM

LEAF was formed September of 1994 by it's Lead Guitarist Dean Russell and his Cousin Drummer Jay and experienced different line-up changes until now (Long Story...).

Most members of the band are based in Pasig City. With their melodic songs and heavy riffs, LEAF remains true to their sound despite all the current trends surrounding the Music Industry. Influenced with bands such as Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, and Led Zeppelin and blending them with their own style.

Right now, the band had recorded 6 original songs from their own Monochrome Studios and are currently tracking vocal cuts.

Blog EntryGod's ineffable plan. Apr 30, '08 11:25 AM

A funny thing happened to me this morning when I was heading to work.

It was more or less the typical morning for me, except for the fact that I didn't notice the time and I left home late. (Around 3 minutes late, it's not much but when you live in my house it's already a VERY BIG thing.) So I had to rush my long and grueling walk from the very end of SM North to the other end of Trinoma (Landmark entrance) and realized that I've forgotten my Globe button thingy. Therefore I had to line up (and get pushed around) by the people trying to get their own Fare Card.

That done, I (thankfully) found a seat and started reading the new book I bought: Good Omens. (Yes after going around bookstores and bookstores, I finally found a copy when I was in Trinoma with last night). After nearly missing my stop I sort of threw myself out of the train (looking harassed because the lady in front of me that took up most space didn't budge even after a whole round of 'Excuse me...! Excuse me please...!'), and headed up the stairs.

And then I saw it.

Someone must've dropped their rosary at the top of the stairs. It was made out of wood and looked like the ones nuns used. I just sort of stared at it while holding onto my book on one hand.

My first thought was: What the hell?

Good Omens still fresh in my mind, I started giggling and picked up the rosary then handed it to the security guard on my way out of the station.

And by "art" he means starving a dog to death in a gallery.

"Guillermo Habacuc Vargas had 2 children catch this dog. He paid the kids for this. He then chained the dog and used the dog as “art”. He told everyone not to feed this dog. The dog died in the gallery."

the rest of the article is here:
http://www.theginblog.com/2007/10/artist-chains-up-dog-until-it-dies-is-this-art-or-animal-abuse/

I know there's a lot of ways on how to express one's self via art like Performance Art or whatever (somtimes I don't really understand them at all) but when another thing suffers because of it... it really makes me angry. I mean I feel sorry for the dog o_o it didn't have the right to die like that.

My cat can get away with murder.

Actually TWO murders now. I just found out that Cerviel killed my bunny when it escaped (I dunno how she managed to do that but she did) last night and my mom found Sally dead. And soo even though I really really REALLY liked Sally Sparrow (with all my heart) I can't get mad at Cerviel either. =_=

ngggrgh ... why does she have to be so CUTE? It's like her defense or something.

So now we've transfered Yumi in a smaller cage (bird cage) that way she has to be the size of a fly to be able to get free. And placed her on the side of the garden where they can't go to and on top of a table.

Ah... I'll really miss Sally. *sigh* But she's now in that great big carrot (stone angel-less) patch in the sky. ._.

But I really had fun last weekend XD met up with everyone and went around the mall, bought stuff, hung out and stuff. :D I really missed everyone, especially those people that I hardly see anymore due to conflicting schedules. ^^

I was reading through stuff in Digg.com when I found this:

Royal Marine Throws Himself Onto Grenade to Save His Team

the whole article over

A Royal Marine who threw himself onto an exploding grenade to save the lives of his patrol has been put forward for the UK's highest military honour.

Lance Corporal Matt Croucher, 24, a reservist from Birmingham, survived because his rucksack and body armour took the force of the blast.

He was part of a reconnaissance troop in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, in February, when the incident happened.

The Ministry of Defence said he could be considered for the Victoria Cross.

Bloodied nose

A spokesman said L/Cpl Croucher's comrades had made a citation to their commanding officer and officers were now considering whether to put his name forward for the honour.

L/Cpl Croucher, a member of 40 Commando, had been searching a compound south of Sangin which was suspected as being used for making bombs to attack British and Afghan troops.

When a Taleban booby-trap grenade was tripped, L/Cpl Croucher jumped on to the device to absorb the force of the explosion with his backpack as his comrades dived for cover.

The blast blew his rucksack more than 30ft away but he remarkably suffered only severe shock and a bloodied nose in the incident.

this is ofcourse taken from: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/west_midlands/7321647.stm

But what I don't get is WHY are they still just CONSIDERING it? O_O I mean REALLY? The guy THREW HIMSELF ONTO THE GRENADE (and lived o_o wow he's so lucky). Hello? What other heroic act would they want him to do? Or does he have to DIE to actually get a medal for that?

Wow he's my hero too *_* I hope he gets more than medals for that.
